Fault Estimation - A Standard Problem Approach

چکیده
This paper presents a range of optimization based approaches to fault diagnosis. A variety of fault diagnosis problems are reformulated in the so-called standard problem setup introduced in the literature on robust control. Once the standard problem formulations are given, the fault diagnosis problems can be solved by standard optimization techniques. The proposed methods include: (1) fault diagnosis (fault estimation, (FE)) for systems with model uncertainties; (2) FE for systems with parametric faults, and (3) FE for a class of nonlinear systems.

Fault Type Estimation in Power Systems
This paper presents a novel approach for fault type estimation in power systems. The Fault type estimation is the first step to estimate instantaneous voltage, voltage sag magnitude and duration in a three-phase system at fault duration. The approach is based on time-domain state estimation where redundant measurements are available. The current based model allows a linear mapping between the m...
متن کاملA Robust Adaptive Observer-Based Time Varying Fault Estimation
This paper presents a new observer design methodology for a time varying actuator fault estimation. A new linear matrix inequality (LMI) design algorithm is developed to tackle the limitations (e.g. equality constraint and robustness problems) of the well known so called fast adaptive fault estimation observer (FAFE). The FAFE is capable of estimating a wide range of time-varying actuator fault...
متن کاملDesign of an Active Approach for Detection, Estimation and Short-Circuit Stator Fault Tolerant Control in Induction Motors
Three phase induction motors have many applications in industries. Consequently, detecting and estimating the fault and compensate it in a way that the faulty induction motor satisfies the predefined goals are important issues. One of the most common faults in induction motors is the short circuit of the stator winding. In this paper, an active fault-tolerant control system is designed and pres...
متن کاملMulti-Objective Fault Section Estimation in Distribution Systems Using Elitist NSGA
In this paper, a non-dominated sorting based multi objective EA (MOEA), called Elitist non dominated sorting genetic algorithm (Elitist NSGA) has been presented for solving the fault section estimation problem in automated distribution systems, which alleviates the difficulties associated with conventional techniques of fault section estimation. Due to the presence of various conflicting object...
متن کاملIntegrated Active Fault Tolerant Control Approach Based LMI
In this work we study a new approach of fault tolerant control schema. The suggested strategy is an active Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) strategy that reconfigures the controller on-line taking into account changes due to the faults where both the block of fault detection and the block of the controller are formulated as a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. The problem of fault estimation is...
